ADVANCED LASER TATTOO REMOVAL

TARGETED Nd:YAG LASER TECHNOLOGY

TARGETED TREATMENT • ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY • PERSONALISED CARE

Discover advanced laser tattoo removal at Joggy Kang Beauty & Aesthetics in Northampton.

Our Nd:YAG laser technology delivers targeted laser energy to tattoo pigment, helping to break the ink into smaller particles which the body can gradually clear naturally over time.

Treatments are tailored according to the tattoo’s size, location, colour, depth and individual skin characteristics. A consultation and patch test will be carried out before treatment to assess suitability and create your personalised treatment plan.

PATCH TESTING & CONSULTATION

Your tattoo, skin type, medical history and medication will be reviewed during your consultation to assess your suitability for laser tattoo removal.

A patch test will be carried out where required before treatment. This allows your practitioner to assess how your skin and tattoo pigment respond to the laser and helps determine appropriate treatment settings.

How does laser tattoo removal work?

Our Nd:YAG laser delivers targeted laser energy into the tattoo pigment, breaking the ink into smaller particles. The body can then gradually clear these particles naturally over time.

Because tattoo inks, colours, depth and density vary, multiple treatments are usually required. Your treatment will be tailored following your consultation and patch test.

How many tattoo removal treatments will I need?

The number of treatments required varies depending on the tattoo’s size, colour, depth, age, ink density and your individual skin response.

Most tattoos require a course of treatments, with time between sessions to allow the skin to recover and the body to gradually clear the fragmented ink. Your expected treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.

How should I prepare for laser tattoo removal?

Before your appointment, avoid tanning and excessive sun exposure on the treatment area. The skin should be clean and free from creams, oils, fake tan or other products on the day of treatment.

Please let us know about any medications, changes to your health or recent skin treatments before your appointment. Your individual preparation instructions will be confirmed during your consultation and patch test.

What tattoo colours can be treated?

Nd:YAG laser technology is commonly used to target darker tattoo pigments such as black and dark blue. Certain other colours may respond differently depending on the wavelength used and the type of pigment present.

During your consultation, we will assess the colours within your tattoo and discuss which areas are suitable for treatment and what results you can realistically expect.

Can a tattoo be completely removed?

Results vary from person to person and complete removal cannot be guaranteed. Some tattoos may fade significantly, while others may retain some pigment.

Factors including the tattoo’s colour, ink type, depth, age, location and your individual response can all affect the outcome. We will assess your tattoo during your consultation and discuss realistic expectations before treatment.

Does laser tattoo removal hurt?

You may feel a short, sharp or warm sensation as the laser treats the tattoo pigment. Comfort levels vary depending on the individual, the tattoo and the area being treated.

We will work carefully throughout your treatment and provide appropriate aftercare advice to help your skin recover.

What happens after tattoo removal treatment?

After treatment, the area may appear red, warm or slightly swollen, and some temporary whitening or sensitivity can occur. These reactions usually settle as the skin recovers.

You will be given aftercare advice to help protect the treated area. Avoid picking or scratching the skin and protect the area from sun exposure while it heals.
