Discover professional fungal nail treatment at Joggy Kang Beauty & Aesthetics in Northampton.
Our targeted laser treatment is designed for nails affected by fungal infection, delivering controlled energy through the nail while leaving the surrounding skin unaffected.
Treatment is tailored to the condition of your nails and individual requirements. A consultation will be carried out before treatment to assess suitability and create your personalised treatment plan.
CONSULTATION & SUITABILITY
Before treatment, we will assess the appearance and condition of your nails, discuss your medical history and determine whether laser treatment is suitable for you.
Nail changes can have different causes, so if we are unsure whether the condition is fungal, we may recommend that you seek advice from your GP, pharmacist or podiatrist before proceeding.
If suitable, we will create a personalised treatment plan and explain what to expect before, during and after your treatment.
How does laser fungal nail treatment work?
Laser energy is directed through the affected nail and surrounding nail area. The treatment is designed to target the affected nail while allowing the nail to continue growing naturally. Because healthy nail growth takes time, any improvement in appearance will be gradual.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required varies depending on the condition of the nail, how many nails are affected and how your nails respond to treatment. A course of treatments may be recommended following your consultation. As toenails grow slowly, it can take several months for healthier-looking nail growth to become visible.
How should I prepare for fungal nail treatment?
Please arrive with the nails clean and free from nail polish, gel or other nail products. Nails should be trimmed where possible. You will be given specific preparation advice during your consultation based on the condition of your nails.
Is laser fungal nail treatment painful?
Most people tolerate the treatment well. You may feel warmth or a brief heating sensation in the nail during treatment. Your comfort will be monitored throughout, and the laser settings will be adjusted appropriately.
When will I see results?
Results are gradual because the affected part of the nail needs to grow out. Toenails grow slowly, so visible improvement can take several months. Results and treatment times vary from person to person, and complete clearance cannot be guaranteed.
Can fungal nail come back after treatment?
Yes. Fungal nail infections can return, so good foot and nail hygiene is important following treatment. Keeping feet clean and dry, changing socks regularly and avoiding sharing nail tools can help reduce the risk of reinfection.
What should I do after treatment?
You can usually return to your normal activities straight after treatment. Keep the feet clean and dry and follow the aftercare advice provided. Good nail and foot hygiene is important, and footwear, socks and nail tools should be kept clean to help reduce the risk of reinfection.
